The Cynopsis

Faith, Family, Fitness

I love God, I now know and understand the nucleus and priority of family, and I am integrated into a fitness community so how do we balance it all?

As a person of faith, my beliefs guide my actions and decisions in life. My faith gives me a sense of purpose and helps me to be a better person. It also helps me to have a strong support system, as I am part of a community of believers who share similar values and beliefs.

One of the most important things in my life is my family. I believe that family is the foundation of society and that it is essential to prioritize and nurture relationships with loved ones. My faith also teaches me the importance of selflessness and putting others before myself, which I strive to do within my family.

I have also found a community within the fitness world. I love that regular exercise not only improves physical health, but also mental and emotional well-being. The leveled playing field through the camaraderie and support of my fellow fitness enthusiasts, is a joy and a gift all in one.

Balancing my faith, family, and fitness, is the stewardship of the temple and the training for the the great race of life. What if 'running the race' really does have a physical component to it? I want to be strong for the Lord and for the days ahead.

My relationship with God is the foundation of my life, through that faith I find purpose no matter where He places me and sometimes that is smack in the middle of the gym crying with a gym friend going through AA or mourning with a young mom as she grives the loss of her son. My faith calls me to be present and responsive for all that He places before me and I pray I am a tangible touch of His truth, love and light.

Fitness could be seen as an offering of stewardship. When we take care of our physical health, are we not honoring the body that God has given us?

Through my journey of balancing faith, family and fitness I found the importance of making time for each aspect of my life. For me, it means setting aside time for daily devotions, regular family time and also making time for regular physical activity. This may look different for everyone, but the most important thing is to find a balance that works for you.

I also understand that sometimes it can be hard to balance everything, but I believe that with prayer and the help of God, I can do all things (Philippians 4:13). I also remind myself that each day is a new opportunity to make choices that honor God and to strive for balance in my life.
